Well, for those of you that didn't know, I'm on the job hunt.....still.... it's been since Sept 11th since my last day at Landmark Design. LOVE that place and I keep hoping that things will get better for them so that I can go back, but I also know that this crazy economy isn't helping matters.... they are actually making them worse. So, while I wait and hope that they hang in there until things get better, I need to search for another job. Unfortunately, being specialized like I am and dealing with the Development World and Housing Market like I did, it's hard to find anyone looking for someone like me. I've found a few jobs in downtown Atlanta.... and a City Planner job in Lawrenceville....so... now I just wait and see what happens next. All I can do is hope and wait for that RIGHT job to come along. OR branch out and start a whole new career...wonder what I can be. Hum.... too bad the fair isn't here for too much longer. I was told I could be a carny. ; ) I've got skills. I can learn to breathe fire or juggle. I thought about learning to walk on stilts, but I'm scared of heights and that could be a big mess. I seriously doubt that carny's have great health insurance. I welcome any suggestions though.
In the mean time, I've been doing a lot of catching up on my daytime tv.... I think Days of Our Lives lasted all of 3 days before I decided I can't possibly watch it again. Seriously, I think Janie Tallant was right when she said that Marlena and Stephano need to hook up and then blow up Salem, including accidentally taking themselves with it. hehehee! But there are some interesting shows on tv.... A Haunting about scary haunted houses which makes me think we've got it good in that our ghost Charlie isn't violent like these other ghosts.... The Doctors, pretty neat show although a little TOO talkshow and not much doctor....Anthony Bourdain..... and Forensic Science shows. I really need to find a cheap hobby. Guess that's why retired folks play golf and take dance classes..... there's no way I could handle too much more of this sitting around, watching tv stuff.
